Every Dell XPS 14 charges over USB-C. For the 2026 XPS 14 (DA14260), Dell’s setup and specifications guide lists a 100 W USB-C adapter and a power-adapter requirements table for non-Dell chargers: 100 W for optimal performance, less than 75 W charges the computer at a slower speed (a warning may appear), and 45 W is the minimum to operate the computer and charge the battery. USB Power Delivery fast charging is supported, and ExpressCharge needs the 70 Wh battery plus a 100 W adapter.

For the XPS 14 9440 (2024), Dell’s owner’s manual lists two USB-C adapter options: 60 W (20 V/3 A) and 100 W (20 V/5 A). A 100W USB-C PD charger matches the bigger option and Dell’s 100 W optimal figure on the 2026 model, so that’s what we recommend. A 65W brick still works as a lighter travel charger, just slower on the 2026 model. Use a 5A (e-marked) USB-C cable with a 100W charger.
