Google Pixel 10a charger: what wattage do you need?

Google says the Pixel 10a fast charges (up to 50% in about 30 minutes) with a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher. The phone itself draws up to 30W and is rated for PPS up to 11V / 3A, so any 30W+ PPS brick works. No charger in the box — only a 1 m USB-C to USB-C cable. Wireless: Qi up to 10W (no Qi2 magnets).

Full answer

Google’s Pixel 10a (2026) tech specs say: “Fast charging up to 50% in about 30 minutes using 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher (sold separately)”, measured with Google’s own 45W USB-C Charger. Google’s Pixel 10a safety & regulatory guide adds that the charger must deliver between 7.5W and 30W “in order to achieve the maximum charging speed”, that the phone supports USB PD fast charging, and lists the electrical input as 5V / 3A, 9V / 3A and PPS up to 11V / 3A.

What to buy: a 45W USB-C PD charger with PPS matches Google’s spec line exactly; a 30W PPS charger covers the phone’s own 30W / 11V 3A limit. Google’s charging help also says any PPS adapter rated 30W or more works, and other USB PD adapters rated 15W or more charge too (more slowly). Google’s wording is “45W … or higher”, so a higher-watt PPS brick such as the 65W UGREEN card also fits. The 2025 Pixel 10 family is on its own page: Pixel 10 charger.

What’s in the box (no charger)

What’s in the Pixel 10a box

Google lists Pixel 10a, a 1 m USB-C to USB-C cable (USB 2.0) and a SIM tool. Adapters are sold separately — you need to buy the wall charger.

PPS, 45W vs 30W, and wireless

Why PPS matters on Pixel 10a

Wired: Google’s spec line names a 45W USB-C PPS charger or higher for the 50%-in-30-minutes figure, while the safety guide says the phone reaches its maximum charging speed with a charger delivering up to 30W and is rated for PPS up to 11V / 3A. In practice: a 45W PPS charger (Google’s own wording) or a 30W charger that supports PPS at 11V / 3A. Google also lists other USB PD adapters rated 15W or more as compatible.

Wireless: Pixel 10a has Qi-certified wireless charging, up to 10W with Qi-certified EPP chargers. Unlike the rest of the Pixel 10 family, it does not support Qi2 / Pixelsnap magnets (Google). We don’t list a wireless charger price here yet.

Which cable

The right cable

Pixel 10a charges over USB-C (USB Type-C 3.2 port). Google says to use a USB-C to USB-C cable — one (1 m, USB 2.0) is in the box. A USB-A to USB-C cable charges slower (Google). The Apple 2 m cable card above is a spare or longer USB-C to USB-C option; see the USB-C cable guide.
