Samsung Galaxy S24 charger: 25W or 45W?
Galaxy S24 and S24 FE take 25W Super Fast Charging; S24+ and S24 Ultra take 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0 — but only with a 45W adapter and a 5A (E-marked) USB-C cable, because the standard S24 cable tops out at 25W (Samsung UK). No wall adapter in the box, and Super Fast Charging needs a USB-C PD charger with PPS.

Full answer
Samsung splits the S24 lineup in two. Galaxy S24 and S24 FE = 25W (Super Fast Charging). Galaxy S24+ and S24 Ultra = 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0 (Samsung Gulf; Samsung UK charger table). Samsung no longer packs a wall charger: the US “What’s in the box” pages for S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra list a USB Data Cable (C to C) and say chargers are sold separately.
For any Super Fast Charging, Samsung AU says the charger must support USB Power Delivery PPS, not just a big wattage number. The chargers above are ones whose makers document PPS. A 30W PPS brick covers the 25W tier on every S24 model. For the full 45W tier on S24+ / S24 Ultra, Samsung UK says you need a 45W travel adapter plus a 5A E-marked cable (the 3A in-box cable is limited to 25W). Anker says its 45W Nano bricks (A121D / B0G1T3H97Y) do not do 5A PPS and cap S24+ / S24 Ultra at 27W, so we don’t sell them here as a 45W answer. We have no verified price tonight for a charger whose maker documents 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0 on S24+ / Ultra, so there is no 45W card yet.

What’s in the box (no charger)
What’s in the Galaxy S24 box
Samsung US “What’s in the Box” pages list a USB Data Cable (C to C) for Galaxy S24 (TSG10000974), S24+ (TSG10000977) and S24 Ultra (TSG10000978, which also has the S Pen and SIM ejector pin), and each says chargers are sold separately. Samsung DE describes the in-box data cable as a USB-C to USB-C 3A cable. For S24 FE, Samsung’s US Newsroom says the 25W power adapter is sold separately, and Samsung US (ANS10001612) says latest Galaxy devices still include a USB-C cable. So you need to buy the wall charger — and S24+ / Ultra owners who want 45W also need a 5A cable.
Super Fast Charging, PPS and how to turn it on
Super Fast Charging needs PPS
Wired: Samsung AU: even a high-watt charger may not Super Fast Charge if it lacks USB-PD PPS. Samsung UK: Super Fast Charging 2.0 requires USB Power Delivery 3.0 with Direct Charging, and with a 45W adapter it’s only possible with a 5A cable. Anker’s A121D page documents 3A PPS (no 5A PPS) and says S24+ / S24 Ultra are limited to 27W max on that brick.
Turn it on (Samsung UK): Settings > Battery > Charging settings > Fast charging. You can’t switch it while charging. When plugged into a 45W adapter and 5A cable, an S24+ / Ultra shows “Super fast charging 2.0” on screen.
Speed example (Samsung US Newsroom): Galaxy S24 FE up to about 50% in around 30 minutes with a 25W adapter and 3A USB-C cable (lab conditions).
Wireless: Samsung UK’s charger table marks fast wireless charging on S24, S24+, S24 Ultra and S24 FE; Samsung’s Newsroom lists Fast Wireless Charging and Wireless PowerShare on S24 FE. We don’t list a wireless pad price here yet.
Which cable
The right cable
Every Galaxy S24 model charges over USB-C. The in-box USB-C to USB-C cable is a 3A cable (Samsung DE), and Samsung UK says standard S24 cables only support 25W — fine for S24 and S24 FE. For 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0 on S24+ / S24 Ultra, Samsung UK requires a 5A (E-marked) cable and recommends the 5A USB-C cable that comes with Samsung’s 45W charger. Note the difference from the S25 series: Samsung AU says the 3A in-box cable works for Super Fast Charging 2.0 only on Galaxy S25 and later. A 240W-rated USB-C cable (the Apple card above) is in the 5A e-marked class; see the USB-C cable guide.
